🕊️ Box Hero Community Initiative
Stop Gun Violence Atlanta
Stronger Communities. More Hope. More Futures.
Box Hero Recycling believes cleaner communities should also be safer communities. We're using our platform to raise awareness about gun violence, encourage community involvement, and support positive change throughout Atlanta and Georgia.
Why This Matters
Gun violence touches families, neighborhoods and workplaces across Atlanta and Georgia. It takes lives, it leaves lasting grief, and it makes communities feel less safe in the places people live, work and raise children.
Box Hero Recycling works in those same neighborhoods every week. Cleaner communities should also be safer communities, so we use our platform to raise awareness about gun violence and to encourage the people and businesses we serve to get involved.
We are not a crisis service and we do not claim to solve this alone. What we can do is speak up, show up, support local efforts, and keep the conversation going in Atlanta.
Three Ways to Make a Difference
Why Support Is Needed
These are the purposes Box Hero is building. A program is only advertised as active once we actually operate or fund it — what we have really done is listed under Our Impact.
Supporting Bereaved Families
Build a fund and program for approved assistance to families affected by gun violence, with eligibility and documentation reviewed before any money is distributed.
Memorial & Remembrance Support
Help communities honor people whose lives were lost through approved memorial activities and remembrance projects.
Family Resource Connections
Connect affected families with existing local organizations and resources, so people reach the right help faster.
Youth & Prevention Activities
Sponsor positive, supervised youth and community activities designed around opportunity, mentorship and violence prevention.
Community Awareness
Support awareness materials, outreach and educational campaigns across Atlanta and Georgia.
Community Events
Support approved neighborhood events centered on safer communities, remembrance, resources and hope.
Community Partnerships
Work alongside established organizations already doing legitimate violence-prevention and victim-support work.
